Vintage cast iron unique doctors scale. This vintage doctor's scale is by the Chicago Illinois Mason and Davis Co.

This is in the original paint which is white. It has a more unique design than many of the other scales I have seen.

Sort of an art deco look that is very attractive. If you like the industrial look in your home or neat unusual items, this is a great conversation piece.

I have not toyed with the adjustable cylinder to the left or other devices on this. The cast iron base has a metal plate that moves back-and-forth slightly as it is supposed to. This scale is brass in parts. I can see were it was worn and the brass showing. The base and the post and parts of the top are all cast iron.

A totally unique delightful piece, historical and useful as well. You can weigh anything up to 300 pounds. Perhaps if you have animals you could put a board across it and weigh them on this also.

Measures about 5 feet tall. Or it could be a focal point in a room. It is beautiful art just as it is.
