Turn the hand crank while feeding cherries into the hopper, the pitted cherries roll down the front shoot and the pits fall out the bottom. Patent May 15, 1866 dated on top of base.Standing on four cast iron legs attached to a stained wooden base, missing one screw. Three of the legs have a design on them, fourth leg looks to be hand wrought by a blacksmith. This cherry pitter measures 10 ¾ inch in length by 6 ¾ inch wide at the legs and stands 7 inch in height, wooden base measures 11 ¾ inch x 9 ½ inch x ¾ inch. Everything looks original, dual wing nuts are used to adjust the width of the hopper's base.
