Has the complete "hamburger" logo with the stacked brand name and location on its bottom. Over 105 years ago, brothers W. And Charles Martin bought a bankrupt foundry in Florence, Alabama, along the Tennessee River in the northwest corner of the state. Renamed the Martin Stove & Range Company, the foundry soon expanded its line of coal- and wood-burning stoves to include cast-iron hollow ware-everything from skillets and griddles to Dutch ovens and saucepans.

For the next 36 years, Martin Stove & Range Company made cast-iron cookware with its distinctive "hamburger" logo. The rare brand is highly collectible today.

The most commonly found set of Martin cast-iron cookware is known as the hamburger set, Jonathon says. The pieces all have the company's distinctive hamburger-shaped logo on the back. The skillets come in 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 14 sizes. Martin is said to have used only five different logos for Martin and four for King.

The "hamburger" logo is perhaps the most recognized one. 8 skillet has Martin's distinctive style of a number inset in the handle.
