Vintage Jowett-Era Saxon 20 lb Plates (Pair) Rare Collectible Iron
Up for sale out of my (PERSONAL COLLECTION). Is a matching pair of vintage 20 lb Saxon plates from the Jowett-era of weightlifting equipment manufacturing (circa early 1930s) These plates are a piece of strength history, made back when the Saxon brand paid homage to the legendary strongman Arthur Saxon, famous for his bent press world record. Saxon plates from this era are highly sought after by collectors and old-school iron enthusiasts because they were cast in smaller production runs and were built to last generations. These plates have their original casting marks and character, with a deep, rugged patina that reflects their age and authenticity.
Whether you're a vintage iron collector, a strongman history buff, or just want a unique conversation piece for your home gym, these plates are perfect. Also, the only thing I did to the plates was add gold lettering with posca paint pen. Weight: 20 lbs each (pair = 40 lbs total). Original cast iron, & original silver paint. Rare and hard to find in pairs.
Add a piece of old-school lifting heritage to your collection - these plates are not just weights, they're history. And are incredibly super HTF!
