Rare Vintage Cast Iron Mortar And Pestle Apothecary Pharmacy 6lb 13oz 5 3/8 tall

  

A rare, beautifully aged with original patina, Cast Iron Mortar and Pestle set. This Mortar and Pestle set is a Show Stopper. This Mortal and Pestle set shows original signs of use. The Mortar is approximately 6 pounds 13 ounces.

Approximately 5 3/8 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide. The Pestle is approximately 8 inches tall. 1 1/2 inches wide, at the wide end, and 3/4 inches at the crown end. I do not see any makers marks.

The Pestle has two gate marks which divide the Pestle in equal halves. The crown has a divot, I tried to photograph.

The bowl rim has small indentations. The rim's width varies in thickness.

Due to these casting imperfections I believe the Mortar and Pestle set was cast many decades ago. (refer to the photograph for condition). If you have any questions, Please contact me prior to purchasing the items.
