Antique English Cast Iron And White Ironstone Slab Kitchen Balance Scale Great

  

For sale, a wonderful antique rare to find English country kitchen or old country store balance scale with a white ironstone plate. One side of the scale has the cast iron plate where you place the weights to measure. The other size holds a beautiful nice original round white ironstone plate. It is 8" in diameter,, 1/4" thick piece of white ironstone. Nicely crazed with some normal staining, no cracks, no chips.

Their are two cast iron weights, round each 2lbs each. One is marked with the well know makers name embossed in the round cast iron weight. It is Kenrick and Sons, they were founded in 1791 a iron foundry from West Bromwich.

The scale is 12" long, stands 7" tall. The scale has it's original untouched patina. I do not repaint items. Great to use in your Farm House kitchen or just for display. These are getting much harder to find with the ironstone plates.
